On the western edge of downtown, Queen Anne is the largest of the legendary seven hills in Seattle. Named for a style of architecture popular in the 1880’s, Queen Anne is known for large mansions and gracious bungalows. Long noted as a desirable place to live, it’s stunning city, sound, lake and mountain views are enjoyed from most anywhere on the hill. Upper Queen Anne offers charm with its family-friendly dining, markets and boutique shopping. In lower Queen Anne, you can find Seattle Center, home of the 1962 World’s Expo and Space Needle, the EMP and Key Arena. Largely made up of restaurants, bars and shops, this area of the neighborhood is home to many condominium and apartment complexes. Queen Anne is in immediate proximity to downtown.
