I have worked with Justin Mellon as my real estate professional three times now, and would choose him again in a heartbeat. He helped me to buy my first house, sell it when it no longer seemed to fit our needs, and then buy another house when the time came. Lara helped me buy a condo in 2017, sell that condo earlier this year, and then recently helped my fiancée and I buy a home. We’re hoping we won’t have to buy another home anytime soon, but if we do we wouldn’t hesitate to work with Lara again. Entering the Seattle housing market seemed brutal and overwhelming, but Lara was excellent at making sense of the chaos, and helped us structure offers that were competitive while ensuring we didn’t overpay for a home. I think the biggest advantage to working with Lara as opposed to one of the discount brokerages is that she was genuinely trying to help us find the right home, and not just trying to make a sale. There was one home that we almost made an offer on, and Lara made sure to warn us about the nearby fire station, and the fact that the house was on a busy street. We’re extremely thankful that we ended up not making an offer, and that Lara was able to help us remove our rose colored glasses for that one. She was always available for showings and truly a joy to work with. Can’t recommend her enough!

We met Sarah Cate at a home buying class. We were first-time homebuyers with very little knowledge about the whole process. Sarah Cate helped us get connected with a local lender and she patiently walked us through the steps from “sold searching”, inspection, looking for signs of problems, commenting on the quality of construction to details of negotiation and making an offer. My wife and I bought our home from Sydnie... I wouldn't hesitate to wokr with her again. Working with Sydnie reminds you why it's a pleasure to work with good sales people. She listened. At the front end, Sydnie interviewed us to ensure homes she showed were in line with our gaols, needs, wants. She observed our reactions and adjusted so that homes number 8 and 9 were better fits than 6 and 7. She drove the process and kept us doing the things we needed to do to get a decision, but she never pushed. If she sensed hesitation, "Lots of other homes, let's move on." Finally, Sydnie did a great job structuring the deal so that we competed on terms rather than price. Winning a competitive offer without touching escalators is no small feat. Great experience!

Our homebuying experience with Eva and Tara was terrific due to their personality, knowledge of the market, perspective and the connections they brought to our buying experience. As a newcomer to Seattle, I had heard good things about Lake and Company but didn't have any personal recommendations for a particular agent. So I browsed the company's website and read some testimonials, and decided to contact Justin Mellon because of his great reviews from clients, as well as his knowledge of carpentry and construction, and the impression that he really enjoys the process of matching someone up with their perfect living space. It turns out that I made a great choice. Justin worked with me tirelessly for several months in order to find the perfect house that had all of the things that I really wanted in my first home purchase and still fit my budget. Even in the middle of the fast upswing and high competition in the housing market for this popular part of Seattle, when we finally found just the thing we wanted, Justin helped us develop strategy and put in the winning offer. When the bank's appraisal came through, our purchase price came in $17k below market value, meaning that we got a killer deal on an amazing place. After signing the purchase agreement but before closing, a major rain came and some water got into the downstairs of our new home, along with a couple of other minor maintenance issues that needed to be immediately addressed. Justin was the first to identify these issues, and actively looked to find everything that needed to be taken care of before the house was turned over to us. He handled all of the discussions with the seller, and thanks to his wise and always diplomatic approach, everything was taken care of by the seller before our closing date. My wife and I met Missy at an open house, and after describing some of our experiences with other realtors she insisted we let her help us find a home. We found Kristen to help us purchase our first home. After our first day of seeing several houses Kristen picked up on what we liked and didn't like and began emailing us new houses as they came on the market. We put offers on 5 houses within 6 months, including bank owned, short sales and typical straight forward sales, many of which were multiple offer situations. Kristen was always willing to find time to meet with us to show houses or go over paperwork, she often worked late when we opted to put in an offer within hours of seeing a house. Kristen has a wealth of knowledge on all of the different types of sales, if she didn't know the answer to one of our questions off the top of her head she would quickly find the answer for us. Kristen is always on the ball and always provided us with updates at least weekly. I would recommend her to anyone buying or selling their home.

I just completed a transaction with Brennen and it went very smooth. He was on top of everything at every point in the transaction. As a lender I deal with quite a few agents and I can truly say that Brennen handled everything with aplomb and was creative in his dealings with the sellers and their listing agent.
