Situated on the south end of a ridge between Ballard and Green Lake, Phinney Ridge captures gorgeous views to the west of the Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound, as well as views of the Cascade Mountains and Mt. Rainer to the east. A walking neighborhood, Phinney’s main thoroughfare is lined with many small businesses, restaurants, and bars. Phinney Neighborhood Association offers classes and lectures, activities, and events that bring the community together. The neighborhood is mainly made up of single-family homes with a mix of longtime residents and young professionals. Several new condominium projects are bringing more affordable opportunities to the neighborhood. Woodland Park Zoo sits at the south end of the neighborhood.
