Real Estate Broker | Realtor®
As a part of my upbringing in rural Montana along the Blackfoot River, I was employed in my parents’ excavation business. From a young age I operated backhoes, excavators, & dump trucks, and learned how homes are built from the ground up. (And the importance of site drainage!) I also learned that self-employment hinges on integrity and hard work.
After graduating from Montana State and working as technical editor in Seattle, I put my background in home building to work. Early 2008 was an inopportune time to have a new real estate license, but helping clients through a tough recession set me up for success. I’ve since navigated every iteration of our real estate market with that same tenacity—from guiding sellers through short sales to helping buyers beat multiple offers in an extremely competitive market. Meanwhile, I’ve pursued my own real estate goals: remodel projects, adding an ADU to my first investment property, and spending time as a short term rental host.
It truly makes my day when I can see that I’ve exceeded my clients’ expectations. For my sellers this means expert guidance on home preparation, hyper-local market trends, target marketing, and win-win negotiations to maximize returns and minimize surprises. Buyers benefit from my understanding of residential construction, in-depth knowledge of Seattle neighborhoods, patient approach to educating first-time home buyers as we tour, and track record of favorable outcomes in a competitive market.
I’m passionate about sustainable practices in the way we build, occupy and improve our homes; honoring a home’s design and history; and building trusting relationships with my clients. I like to strike a balance of effectively communicating what my clients most need to know, without sugar coating and without the hard-sell, so they trust me to be a resource they can call on for years to come.
I love to recharge my batteries by playing volleyball at Golden Gardens, escaping to our cabin east of the Cascades with my husband and English springer spaniel, rolling out pie dough to good music, and sitting around a campfire with family.
