Sara Fisher
Real Estate Broker
I grew up splitting my time between Bainbridge Island, WA, and a small town in Southeast Alaska, where my mother worked as a special education teacher and speech therapist. It is from her that I first learned the power of communication: how to navigate complicated administrative systems, effectively cater to an individual’s needs, and advocate for them fiercely. At the end of each taxing but rewarding school year, she would pack us into the family’s Suburban and the two of us would drive down the Alaskan Alcan highway for a well-earned vacation with extended family in Washington. I spent many summers at my grandmother's incredible Bainbridge Island home, an English Tudor built by my uncle’s grandfather. My days were spent on the beach digging for clams, eating meals in the breakfast nook that had portholes salvaged from an old ship, and hunting for tree frogs in the rose garden. It was here at my grandmother’s wonderful home that I first fell in love with the Puget Sound area and all the magic it has to offer.
A full-time Seattle resident since 1996, I’ve watched this city change and change again, in so many ways. I’ve seen the neighborhoods shift, many businesses come and go, and the architectural landscape morph and reshape the city into something new. I use this extensive knowledge of the city and the Western Washington area, as well as my many years in the hospitality and sales industry to effectively guide my clients through the sometimes-tumultuous world of real estate. Whether buying your first house or third, it is one of the biggest financial investments of one’s life and knowing where to start can feel daunting and scary. I believe education, organization, timing and (most importantly) having the right contacts are key in helping my clients find the right home and setting them up to feel as grounded throughout the process as possible. As your Realtor you can expect a dedicated, comprehensive, and straightforward approach from me. Together we will work at a pace that best suits your individual needs to develop a personalized strategy. From our very first consultation, to viewing potential homes, to getting your keys I will be there to advise and advocate throughout the process.
When I’m not helping people find their next home, I enjoy spending time with my husband, toddler, two dogs and VERY curvaceous cat, Liz, in Ballard. That aside, there are few things that excite me more than a renovation project and I have been lucky enough to be part of a few. I am passionate about design, the use of light and the possibilities of a home; I find the sparse beauty of Japanese and Scandinavian designs especially exciting. No matter one’s style, what I love and appreciate most is how transformative reimagining a room (or rooms) can be.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling, have questions about the market, or just need real estate advice please do not hesitate to reach out! I am here and always so happy to help.
